How To Handle The Completion Of Work
At completion, inspect the work with your builder and compile a list in a duplicate book of any points that you are not satisfied with.
Agree a date for completion, insert this into your list and give the top copy to the builder.
You could and even hold back a reasonable sum pending completion.
The completion should include removal of all materials/rubbish builders often leave some behind!
Where required, ask for final certificates of inspection from the building inspector.
